Le Guide du Routard
A cottage-like distillery still in activityin half timberedbuildings from the 17th century. In a short time, through stories about Pays d'Auge and ancestral techniques, the visit of the estate will show you how important this activity has always been in the area. You will appreciate, standing in front of the press house, the wheel mounted still, built in 1946, wich was used in farms for distilling as well as those unconventionally shaped oak barrels on the ageing storehouses : the oval shape enables producers to cheat somehow on the exact content of their cask ! Free tasting.
Le Guide Vert
Firm located in several timbered houses from the 17th century. The family production of calvados, cider and pommeau has been awarded 390 medals and honour prizes. The press-house, ageing store houses, distilling and conditioningworkshops are part of the visit as well as a tasting sales in the spot.
Geo Guide
No less than this former stud-farm and its 17th century buildings were needed to shelter the cottage distillery of Christian Drouin and its production : about thirty different vintage dated calvados, cider and pommeau. Needless to say, finishing the visit of the ageing storehouses, press house and old stills - the visit is free for individual - will take you to the sales counter, just for pleasure or sheer curiosity.
